Status matching turns hotel-chain elite tiers into casino comps and vice versa. The active matches in 2026 — and how to use them.

The two big casino-to-hotel partnerships in 2026 are MGM Rewards ↔ Marriott Bonvoy (since the 2024 partnership replaced the old MGM-Hyatt deal) and Caesars Rewards ↔ Wyndham Rewards. Both let you earn and redeem across the loyalty programs and match tiers. Hard Rock launched Unity Loyalty in 2024 with cross-property earning. MGM Rewards ↔ Marriott Bonvoy

The biggest active partnership. Status match runs in both directions:

  • Bonvoy Platinum → MGM Pearl
  • Bonvoy Titanium → MGM Gold (the most useful match — gets free parking, room upgrades, faster check-in)
  • MGM Gold → Bonvoy Gold
  • MGM Platinum → Bonvoy Platinum

Wyndham Diamond offers good Caesars-property benefits (free buffet at most Caesars properties, room upgrades). Caesars Diamond gets you Wyndham mid-tier hotel benefits.

Best for: roadtrip-heavy travelers (Wyndham has the largest US hotel footprint).

Hard Rock Unity

Hard Rock Unity launched 2024 — single program across Hard Rock Hotels, Casinos, and Cafes globally. Earn dining points → casino comps. Earn slot play → hotel free nights. Especially useful at Hard Rock Hollywood (Guitar Hotel), Hard Rock Tampa, Hard Rock AC, and Hard Rock cafes worldwide.

Casino-to-casino matches

Most casino programs offer one-time status matches when you bring proof of higher status from a competitor:

  • Caesars → MGM: usually matches Diamond → Pearl
  • MGM → Caesars: usually matches Pearl → Platinum
  • Boyd → Caesars: case-by-case
  • Pechanga, Foxwoods, Mohegan: case-by-case for higher tiers

These are typically one-time, valid for 3-6 months, and require you to maintain via play to retain.

How to actually request a match

  1. Email or visit the player services desk with proof (screenshot or printed status page from competitor program).
  2. Fill out the match request form.
  3. Wait 24-72 hours for review.
  4. Match valid for a trial period (typically through year-end of current year + 1 year forward).

Pro move: match BEFORE you arrive, then play enough on your trip to retain. A free-status trip that earns you a year of comps is the best deal in casino loyalty.
