Spain's Casinos — Marbella, Madrid, Mallorca and the Coastal Circuit
Spain has 35+ licensed casinos, mostly coastal. Marbella for the Costa del Sol crowd, Madrid for the urban play, Mallorca for the holiday hop.
Spain licenses 35+ casinos under provincial regimes. Major operators: Cirsa (Casino Barcelona, Marbella), Grupo Comar (Casino Gran Madrid Torrelodones, Casino Colón), Casino de Mallorca group. Tables €5–25 mass-floor; single-zero roulette; 3:2 blackjack at most properties. ID at entry.
Casino Gran Madrid — Torrelodones flagship
The largest casino in Spain by gaming positions, in Torrelodones (30 minutes north of Madrid by car). Modern building, full table-game menu, sizeable poker room. The default if you're staying in Madrid and want a real casino visit.
Casino Colón — central Madrid option
Casino Gran Madrid Colón sits on Paseo de Recoletos in central Madrid. Smaller than Torrelodones but more accessible — walking distance from Plaza de Colón. Slot- and electronic-heavy with a small live-table room.
Casino Marbella — Costa del Sol
In the H10 Andalucía Plaza area. Marbella's social scene gravitates here in summer; clientele is more international than Spanish. Tables €10–25; well-run if not architecturally striking.
Casino Barcelona
Cirsa's flagship in Port Olímpic, beachfront. Recently renovated. Tables €5–25; full menu; the most touristy of the Spanish casinos.
Mallorca and the holiday islands
Practical
Spanish blackjack: 3:2 at most properties, dealer stands soft 17, double after split allowed. Single-zero roulette. House edge ~0.5%.
ID required at entry — passport for foreigners. Smart-casual dress; jacket optional even in evenings at most properties.
For a great Spain casino-and-food trip: Madrid (Torrelodones casino + Prado + tapas) → Sevilla (no casino but worth the stop) → Marbella (Costa del Sol) → ferry/flight to Mallorca.
