Washington State's Tribal Casinos — Beyond Tulalip
Washington has 30 tribal casinos — most clustered around Seattle. Tulalip is the famous one, but Muckleshoot, Snoqualmie, and Emerald Queen are right there too.
Washington has 30 tribal casinos. Around Seattle: Tulalip Resort Casino (Tulalip Tribes, 30 mins north), Muckleshoot Casino (Auburn, south of Seattle), Snoqualmie Casino (east of Seattle, near the falls), Emerald Queen Tacoma. Eastern WA: Northern Quest Resort (Spokane suburbs). Plus many smaller venues. Tables $5–25 mass-floor; rules generally favorable.
Tulalip Resort Casino — the headline
Tulalip Tribes' flagship; 30 minutes north of Seattle on I-5. ~2,200 slots, ~70 tables, 370-room hotel, multiple restaurants, the Tulalip Amphitheatre (concerts), the Tulalip Outlet mall next door. Tribal-themed design done well — not kitschy, genuinely architectural.
Muckleshoot Casino — closest to Seattle
Auburn, 30 minutes south of downtown Seattle. Recently renovated; expanded hotel opened 2024. Big slot floor; full table game menu; sportsbook. The default if you're staying in Seattle and want short driving.
Snoqualmie Casino — the scenic one
East of Seattle on I-90, near Snoqualmie Falls. Smaller than Tulalip or Muckleshoot but in the most scenic location. Great drive out, decent casino, falls visit makes it a half-day trip.
Emerald Queen Tacoma
In Tacoma, recently moved to a new on-shore property (the original was on a riverboat). Mid-sized casino + hotel. Convenient for Tacoma/Olympia visitors.
Northern Quest — eastern Washington
Kalispel Tribe property, in Airway Heights (Spokane suburbs). 250-room hotel, full integrated resort. The default eastern WA choice.
Rules and play
WA tribal compacts allow most modern table games. 3:2 blackjack widely available. Single-zero roulette at major properties. Strong slot variety.
Practical
For a Seattle-based casino visit: Muckleshoot (closest) or Tulalip (best resort).
For a longer Pacific Northwest trip: stay in Seattle, day-trip Tulalip or Snoqualmie, side-trip to Mt. Rainier, ferry to Bainbridge.
